Professional Development Portfolio Robyn Kemsley
I have been working at SAS Pudong for four years as an English teacher (2007 - 2011), department head (2008 - 10), MUN Director (2007 - 9), English Service Project Advisor (2009-10), and this year, Forensics coach (2010-11).
I pride myself on valuing my students and helping them learn and mature, on using technology in meaningful ways, and on being a positive part of the learning community here. I frequently take advantage of professional development opportunities and constantly reflect on and improve my teaching practice.
I am currently studying for a Master's Degree in Education from Bath University. I have completed units on leadership and management in education, curriculum development, and assessment; currently I am working on 'Understanding Learners and Learning' and plan to write my dissertation next year.
